Tempelhof Media Campus, Berlin
THE PROJECT
Seifermann is leading the concept design for the new Media Campus within Tempelhof Airport, Berlin
Entitled by Norman foster as ‘The mother of all airports’, the huge and vacant Hangers are currently being re-developed for cultural and educational purposes in the centre of Germany’s capital.
The German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) initiated this project with their move from the Sony Centre into Hangar 5 to become a state-of-the-art film school.
Seifermenn have developed the user concept and designed the film school to attract students and film-makers from all over the world.
Together with our team of industry specialists we advised Tempelhof and DFFB on all campus aspects, such as film technology, heritage impact, multi-usable learning and event spaces, as well as business concept and cost calculations.
